In February of (2020), we embarked on the journey of recording our sophomore album, Annie, amidst the picturesque backdrop of the Catskills with D. James Goodwin at The Isokon. Upon concluding those sessions, we left with a sense of elation, carrying the project's essence back to our Brooklyn home studios for continued production.
As New York entered lockdown in March of 2020, we found ourselves working on the album within the confines of our individual home studios. Despite physical separation, we remained connected through the sharing of our respective productions, all while navigating the palpable tension of the COVID pandemic and the tumultuous 2020 election year.
After a few additional days at The Creamery studio with Jeff Fettig in September, we sent the tracks back to Goodwin for the final mixing and mastering process. Though the album's creation took longer than anticipated, we’re profoundly excited to finally share the results.
With anticipation and gratitude,
Kevin + Emanuel
